Dear Parents,
Firstly, we would like to thank you for all your contributions to Clonmel Town F.C., from volunteering as coaches, to bringing your children to training, blitzes, matches and for being a long-time supporter of “The Town”. As you may have seen, there is a considerable amount of development works going on in our Club grounds at the moment. When works are completed for the 2024/2025 season there will be a new Training area, Youth Training Pitch and a new full-size schoolboy/schoolgirl pitch that can accommodate all age groups along with an upgrade to the existing Main Pitch.

What is the Pitch Development Fund 2024 about? 
The Pitch Development Fund 2024 is a fundraising initiative with the sole purpose of raising money for the current pitch development at Clonmel Town. The works are being carried out by ESK Plant Ltd and the total cost of the proposed pitch development is €425,000. The grants secured plus funds already raised for this project amount to €310,000. The objective of the Pitch Development Fund 2024 is to raise as much as possible of the remaining €115,000 to make up the shortfall.

Why carry out these works? 
With an ever-increasing number of players in the Club, we are looking to reduce our dependence on outside facilities and when these works are completed, the vast majority of our games will be played at the Clonmel Town Complex. We also want to raise the standards of our facilities to enable us to continuously improve and compete at the highest levels that we can achieve.

What will we have when these works are completed? 

 Main Pitch – Dimensions 100m x 58m: The pitch will be moved closer to the complex building. It will have a 3-metre run-off to all sides.
➢ Youth Pitch – Dimensions 90m x 45m: This pitch will be used for all youth and schoolboy/schoolgirl games. It meets the minimum dimensions for a full-size soccer pitch that will comply with regulations for all competitive games.
➢ Youth Training area – Dimensions 100m x 26m: This area will be fully fenced in, to separate it from the main pitch, with a net along the wall of Love Lane to prevent balls going over. This area will be used for the Football for All programme.
➢ Training warm-up area – Dimensions 30m x 70m: An extra space has been allocated to allow for training and a warm-up area before matches.
➢ Ducting: Provisions are being made for future installation of floodlights for pitches.

How will we raise the funds?

We appreciate the efforts that people make to pay the current membership fees and training subs, the money we raise from these fees enable us to register players, supply sports equipment to all of our teams and meet the day to day running costs of the club on an annual basis.
We are asking for additional support from the parents, supporters and small businesses within the club along with the local community to help raise the money to supply the facilities that the young players of Clonmel Town FC deserve. We are activating a separate bank account exclusive to the Pitch Development Fund 2024 for this project. The club has set up ClubZap which will be used to facilitate payments and update members on the progress of the fundraising initiative.

Instructions on how to download the ClubZap app are included. There are 3 different ways to support the Pitch 
Development Fund 2024; a premium business package, a business package or a family donation, the details of each are outlined below.

1. Business Sponsorship
We are looking for sponsorship from local small businesses within the community so if you or your family own a business, we have two different packages that are available to purchase. The details included within each package are listed below.
Premium Business Package = €1000
Package includes:
• A pitch side banner that is guaranteed to stay in place for at least 5 years
• Name and logo printed on a sponsorship display board at the entrance to the complex
• Regular social media promotion through the Clonmel Town F.C. social media platforms and website

2. Parents and Supporters
There are 469 youths and 127 adults currently registered with the club. We are asking for a family donation of €120 from each Household. All payments can be made by means of ClubZap, cheque or cash (envelopes provided). 

Family Donation
Option A: €120 paid in full.
Option B: €120 in 12 x €10 euro payments over the full year of 2024.

Option C: €250 or more.

If a private individual wishes to donate €250 or more, it is possible for the club to apply for a tax rebate on that amount, allowing the figure to increase, possibly up to €416. This can only be applied for on one-off payments of €250 or more. See table below with the details of the tax rebate for a private donation of €250.
