Arra Road was the venue for the U16 Girls Premier League decider in a winner takes all game. The home side settled quickly and were unlucky not to go ahead when a long range effort hit the post and was cleared to safety.
Town settled well after this and were in front minutes later when Niamh Dunply finished well from a cross from Eavann Duffy. Town were 2 up shortly after, following great individual work from Emma Kiely. They had some chances to go further ahead before Niamh added the third. With Town in the ascendancy a fourth was added by Eavann Duffy just before half time.
The second half was just minutes old when Niamh completed her hat trick to give Town a 5-0 lead.
To their credit, Tipperary Town never gave up and got on the score sheet from a corner through Kate Nugent.
Faye OโDwyer added a second with 20 minutes remaining before Lily Flannery hit a third.
In the final 10 minutes Lauren Connolly was unlucky to see a great effort brilliantly saved by the Tipp keeper.
The game ended 5-3 to Town leaving them as League Champions. This group of girls have been a credit to the club and thoroughly deserved their success.
